Design & Construction
Working with your architect or interior designer, we can build swimming pools to exacting requirements, with high specification filtration, heating and ventilation systems and controls.
We construct our pools to exceptionally high standards of strength and durability by using a double steel mesh frame. Using the Gunite process, concrete is sprayed into this double frame which ensures our pool shells stand the test of time. The outside of our pool walls are then covered with a thick insulation layer. This process is extremely versatile and allows us to construct pools to virtually any specification.
We listen carefully to what each client wants to achieve from their pool — taking into consideration the practicalities — and create something beautiful that it is in sympathy within its immediate environment and the surrounding landscape.
Your pool should be an asset, as well as somewhere to enjoy as you wish. We use a variety of materials in the finish of our pools. For example, slate which is available in a number of colours that blend sympathetically into an English landscape, as well as the more traditional mosaic tiles. To help you choose the finish you want for your pool, we provide samples for your consideration and will be more than happy to show you our previous work first-hand.
Refurbishment
We specialise in the refurbishment of private and commercial indoor and outdoor pools and spas which have become outdated because of their age and general ‘wear and tear’ over the years. Our designers and engineers will revitalise your pool, creating a stunning new look, while simultaneously updating the plant room with modern equipment that dramatically improves performance and energy efficiency, as well as water quality.
Our comprehensive refurbishment service includes repairing concrete, external and internal finishes or upgrades and replacing plant equipment such as the water filtration and circulation system, heating systems and underwater lights.
Servicing & Maintenance
We offer specialist swimming pool and spa maintenance services to commercial and residential clients in London and the Home Counties.
We repair and maintain pool and spa filters, pumps, heaters and controls to ensure optimum performance. Over time, plant room equipment experiences wear and tear and will need to be replaced with new parts or with more technologically advanced products that become available on the market. We advise clients on the best products and solutions for their plant room and then undertake the upgrade to ensure that they benefit from the most energy efficient and environmentally friendly products. Our maintenance team repairs and services gas and oil boilers, heat pumps, dehumidifiers, air handling units. It is essential that all of these appliances are serviced on an annual basis and that all pool technology components are kept in good condition to ensure the smooth running of the pool and to avoid unnecessary faults and premature replacement of parts which can prove costly.
We perform sand changes of pool filters, these should be done every five to 10 years to maintain the required water quality. If you are a regular Specialist Pools service client, we will automatically advise you when the filter media should be changed.
